A duplex stainless steel with additions of chromium molybdenum and copper. It has especially excellent resistance to chloride-ion corrosion. The minimum PRE of it is 41.5. Used for seawater heat exchangers in chemical and oil refinement plants, high pressure piping in oil wells, and pressure vessels in reverse osmotic seawater conversion.
SUS329J1 - SUS329J1 5.0 25.0 2.0 - bal - An alloy having corrosion resistance, more excellent than UNS31600, to pitting and stress corrosion cracking in an environment with chloride-ion less than seawater. Used in flue gas desulfurization processing, for floodgate, and in chemical plants.
